Gran Canaria

The island of Gran Canaria has 60 kilometres long of its coast translated in beaches, some of them are considered into the range of Europe’s best ones. Among them we can find Maspalomas beach, which has around 403 hectares of sand dunes mixed with the spectacular Atlantic Ocean; or Playa del Inglés beach, with approximately 3 kilometres of extension.

There is a very wide range of beaches in the island of Gran Canaria. That´s why we would like to highlight those beaches that are closer to our shops. These are the biggest ones and they offer the possibility to enjoy those perfect holidays in an idyllic place under the sun

Playa del Inglés beach

Lenght: 2850m, witdh: maximum width: 80m

This beach could be proud to be one of the most famous in Europe. It offers blond thin sand and enjoys the blue flag since 1988. It has a beautiful promenade that starts in Las Burras beach and ends at the beginning of Las Dunas de Maspalomas [Maspalomas’sand dunes].

Nowadays, an important commercial activity has been developed all around Playa del Inglés due to the growth of the hotel and shop sectors as well as the embellishment of the promenades and touristic areas. For example, the Paseo Costa Canaria which walk goes from Las Burras beach to the beginning of Las Dunas de Maspalomas, or the Paseo Marítimo; a 2 kilometres avenue full of restaurants, pubs and shops.

The Playa del Inglés beach is, without any doubt, one of the most visited places of Gran Canaria for more than 30 years ago.

Maspalomas beach

Lenght: 2710m, with: maximun width: 75m

Maspalomas beach is one of the most symbolic places in the Island due to its beauty and singularity. It is considered as a natural reserve which has 403 hectares of sand dunes. There, you can find the Faro de Maspalomas [an old lighthouse] which was built in 1861 and it took 28 years until it was finished. This lighthouse was the best guide for all the ships and boats that bordered Gran Canaria on their way to the American coasts. Today, an important commercial activity has been developed all around this beach; there are lots of hotels, promenades and commercial areas to enjoy.

Meloneras beach

Lenght: 460m,  maximun width: 75m

It has a 2 kilometres promenade that starts in the Faro de Maspalomas and ends in Meloneras beach.

The promenade has an elegant avenue provided of shops that offer first category trademarks and excellent restaurants of all kind of food. This avenue goes through two commercial areas called Boulevard Oasis shopping centre and Meloneras shopping centre.
